Chocolate Cinnamon Popcorn!

Popcorn is often thought of as being a healthier alternative to chips or other snacks. But many brands can be deceiving! To make the healthiest, and most delicious popcorn, make your own! Air-popped corn has only 30 calories in a whole cup!

Instant popcorn has been criticized for containing harmful ingredients. The most concerning ingredient is diacetyl, the one responsible for that “buttery” flavor. CBS News reported this chemical could be linked to worsening the effects of an abnormal brain protein that is linked to Alzheimer’s. Many also contain genetically modified soybean oil, artificial colors and flavors. Some contain hydrogenated oils as well, or in other words, trans fats.

The Pop-Secret Movie theater butter contains: Popcorn, Soybean Oil Partially Hydrogenated, Salt, Flavor Natural & Artificial, Color Added, Milk Non-Fat, Propyl Gallate

Yum a bowl of trans fats, artificial colors and flavors. So. FAKE.

Air-popped popcorn is a perfect, easy, and healthy snack! Air-popped popcorn with a sugary-sweet twist, now that’s even better! Popcorn is SO much healthier when it is bought in kernel form and popped yourself.

ChocCin Popcorn*You don’t need a air-popper to make your own, all you need is a brown paper bag and a microwave!!

Place 1/4 cup of popcorn kernels in a paper bag and fold it over twice. Pop until there is about 2 seconds between the popping (should be about 2 minutes.
